Open House honoring Long Life Brotherhood Club
Join the Long Life Brotherhood and the Burton Heritage Society to celebrate the legacy of community support by the Long Life Brotherhood with food and fellowship! Come from 1-3pm and enjoy refreshments, fellowship and immerse yourself in the history and stories of the Long Life Brotherhood and its legacy. With roots as the United Brothers of Friendship “Burton Lodge” or “Matson Lodge” this organization has been a vital part of the African American community of Burton since the late 1800s. There is no admission for this event but donations are always appreciated as all proceeds will help preserve the 1919 lodge building.
